THE Pyramid LIBRARY (Firefly, 2025)
Wikipedia.
Inside a Pyramid. On the Moon.
The Arch Mission payload housed inside LifeShip’s hand-sized golden pyramid on Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost lander is a permanent lunar knowledge archive.
Delivered to Mare Crisium near Mons Latreille on March 2, 2025 under NASA’s CLPS program, it contains the entire English-language Wikipedia encoded in DNA accompanied by a decoding Language Primer to help future finders reconstruct context and meaning without 21st-century tools.
The archive is recorded on ultra-durable physical media—such as archival micro-etchings and ceramic substrates—then sealed within the LifeShip vault to passively withstand lunar temperature swings, radiation, dust, and micrometeoroids for geologic timescales.
